What is meant by the rated capacity of a photovoltaic system?

The rated (or maximum, or peak, or nominal) capacity of a photovoltaic system is the electric capacity of the system which is determined by the sum of the individual rated (or maximum, or peak, or nominal) capacities of each photovoltaic module making up the system, measured under standard conditions (temperature of 25 °C and radiation 1,000 W/m²).
